Software: This wiki is running the [UseMod] wiki software on a Linux system, with the following deviations from standard configuration:
- SiteName, CookieName, EmailName are "SDxWiki" instead of "Wiki"
- RawHtml is enabled.
- Traditional WikiLinks are disabled.
- Script is running under control of SpeedyCGI for performance.
Site administration:
- Primary admin: Dan Muller
- Secondary admin: Frank Swierz
For the moment, the number of people with access to the Web site's administrative functions is limited to avoid confusion. This may change once things settle down.
Security: This is intended to be a closed site, for invited members only. New users must be set up by a [site administrator].
Web site features: We have a Standard Web Hosting plan with LiquidWeb; you can read about the associated features on their site. If there are features you want enabled contact one of our Admins. Notable capabilities:
- unlimited email accounts (POP3 or forwarding) in SpookyDistance.com (see below)
- Subdomains pointing to Web site subdirectories (e.g. danm.SpookyDistance.com)
- Periodic cron jobs
- FTP accounts, including anonymous and [a developer] account.
- SSH access to our account on lightning.liquidweb.com
Email features: If you want your own username@spookydistance.com email address, contact DWM. You can have either:
- a forwarding address, in which case I need your target address.
- a POP3 account, in which case you should read the [LiquidWeb User's Manual] for configuration details at your end.
Backups: LiquidWeb keeps a ten-day rolling backup. Admins have access to tools to generate and restore complete site backups. We do not have a regular backup schedule yet.
