Who am I?

I am a Father, Husband, Uncle, Brother, Son, and sometimes a best friend. Small children and old women love me. I know the sound made by one hand clapping. And I can make that sound when necessary.

I know how to spell necessary.

Small animals have been known to fall asleep in my lap.

I was alive, but far too young, to witness the first person walking on the moon. But when I look up at the sky at night, I try to imagine myself up there and it makes me smile. I like thick steaks and fast cars. I like Formula 1 because they turn left and right.

I realize that good code is both a blessing and an art form all by itself. I realize that I'm not as good a programmer as I think I am, better than I really need to be, yet not as good as I wish I was.

I am my own worst critic.

I drink more Mountain Dew than needed. I know what lies beyond the red door, and think this world would be a better place if everyone else did too.
